Lodging only (rates are in US dollars and include three meals and all taxes):
Single room (1 person): $126 per night
Twin or double room (2 people): $213 per night
Triple room (3 people): $306 per night
Family room (2 adults & 1 child up to 8 years old): $250 per night
Twin or double rooms have one double bed, a double bed and a single, or two single beds. The family room has a double bed and a bunk bed. The triple room has three single beds or one double bed and one single bed.
Access to the lodge is along a concrete walkway with stairs, and it may not be accessible for people with limited mobility. Staff will carry all of your luggage to and from the lodge. As of November 2010, the entrance road has been extended, and there are now only 24 easy steps to the lodge.
Guides
If you are interested in a package that includes guiding and transport, please check out the section below. Keep in mind: Bird guides are in high demand – if you want a professional bird guide, please book well in advance of your trip. Volunteer guides are often available to do morning and afternoon bird walks near the lodge. There is no charge for these walks, but keep in mind that they are not professional guides and may need to be shared with other guests. During some months of the year, we may not have volunteer guides available.

Custom Birding or Nature or Photography Tour Packages
These are private tours with your own expert guide, who caters the focus and pace of the trip to your needs. These are totally customizable – if you have something in particular that you would like to see or sites you want to visit, just let us know and we will make it happen. Longer trips are also available upon request. While we can sometimes arrange last-minute packages, it is best to book well in advance.
3 days/2 nights:
Day 1: 5:30am pickup from your hotel in Quito. Birding at Yanacocha and the Nono-Mindo ecoroute with a packed lunch. Night in Tandayapa Bird Lodge.
Day 2: Full day birding in the Tandayapa Valley. You can have lunch at the lodge or take a packed lunch. Night in Tandayapa Bird Lodge.
Day 3: Most of the day birding in the Milpe Bird Sanctuary with a packed lunch. Optional visit to the Mirador Rio Blanco tanager feeders ($3 extra per person). Afternoon return to Quito, arriving around 6pm at your hotel.
